Ponshuya Santoku Rokumi, a standing bar with its main branch in Fukushima, Osaka, opened its second branch in Kyoto following the Shijo-Karasuma branch. The Gojo Takakura branch responds to the request from customers who said, "I want to go there after strolling in Kyoto if there are chairs available," and allows customers to enjoy dishes using seasonal ingredients and a wide selection of sake while relaxing in chairs. The tasteful interior, which utilizes a Taisho era machiya (townhouse), is the perfect bar space with a mature yet lively atmosphere.
We are glad that our signature dish, oden in chicken white soup, can be enjoyed not only in winter but also all year round. The menu always includes about 25 kinds of ingredients, from the standard daikon radish and egg to some unique ones that can only be enjoyed here. The daily changing sake, thoughtful appetizers, and Oden Curry to finish off the meal make just looking at the menu an exciting experience.
