Retro architecture of Nintendo's former company building in the Shichijo area of Kyoto can be seen...
Two chashu manju buns for 700 yen. The sweet and spicy pork filling is deliciously wrapped in a gently sweet skin. The beautiful cracks are a sign of quality.
This is the second branch of the popular "Star Street" restaurant in Shijo-Karasuma. The chefs from Hong Kong, including Mr. Yui-King He, who has more than 40 years of experience as a dim sum chef, carefully prepare dim sum from the skin up.
While the grand menu is smaller than that of the main restaurant, the full dim sum menu, including the signature shrimp dumplings, is available.
Steamed gyoza (3 kinds of gyoza) 820 yen. Three kinds of gyoza, a signature item on the menu, are served on one plate. The beautiful transparent skin is filled with chewy bean paste.
Shrimp Fried Rice 790 yen. Shrimp Fried Rice filled with plump prawns. We recommend eating it with our special bean-paste sauce.
In addition, the restaurant offers a rice bowl menu that is not available at the main restaurant, such as char siu pork rice bowl. The quality of the dim sum is as expected, as it is made by a special class dim sum master, but at 750 yen per person and up, the outstanding cost performance is still there. Try the Hong Kong-style milk tea and other drinks available only at the Sanjo branch.
