[2024] 20 Recommended Cafes in Kyoto! Stylish...
July 5, 2024 open
A café with a gallery has joined the 110-plus-year-old row houses and azuki-ji alley where young artists gather. The manager, Mr. Chinzai, says, "The menu makes me happy when I find it in a coffee shop." The lineup includes pancakes, pudding, Neapolitan, hot sandwiches, and other items that have the aroma of a pure coffee shop.
Drinks include mild coffee brewed by flannel drip, refreshing lemon-flavored craft cola, and sometimes original drinks to match the gallery's special exhibitions.
The courtyard is also used for displays, making full use of the tasteful machiya (townhouse), allowing visitors to casually experience art while relaxing in the space.
Special exhibitions are held every two to three weeks on various themes, including illustrations and photographs by up-and-coming artists from all over Japan. Enjoy the unique art while touring the other stores along Ajiki Alley.
