A yakitori restaurant in Gion, featuring a combination of jidori and gamecock from all over the country [Gion Tori...
July 25, 2024 open
The restaurant stands along the cobblestone Shinbashi-dori street, where the scenery of old Gion still remains. The interior of the restaurant is a sophisticated space with a Japanese taste, including counter seats with a design reminiscent of a blade pattern and private rooms on the second floor, each with a different flavor.
Charcoal-grilled dishes, prepared on the grill right in front of the counter, are offered in three courses. The popular OMAKASE course features the famous yakitori as well as A5-rank Japanese black beef such as Kobe beef with high quality fat. The yakitori is made from young female Kyo-aka Jidori chicken, which is tender and has a strong flavor. The chef, who has honed his skills at yakitori restaurants over the years, uses Japanese binchotan charcoal to adjust the heat to the best level, bringing out the full flavor of the ingredients over the charcoal fire.
All dishes start at 12,000 yen for the OMAKASE course. The charcoal-grilled yakitori (five kinds of yakitori and one kind of seasonal vegetable) is served one by one. Enjoy the deep flavor of morning-pickled Kyoto red-ground chicken!
Charcoal-grilled A5 rank Japanese black beef - served with grilled Kyoto vegetables. The juicy red meat of Kobe Beef was used on this occasion. Shizuoka wasabi and sudachi (Japanese citrus fruit) enhance the natural flavor of the meat. Sparkling wine is available from 1,200 yen per glass.
We also recommend the SPECIAL course of 18,000 yen, which includes a fresh lobster that is handled upon order. The authentic sake lineup selected by a sommelier and sake connoisseur is also worthy of note.
