Ajiroman Ishigama-tei is a long-established duck specialty restaurant along the Kamo River. The fourth-generation owner of the restaurant opened the second restaurant, Teramachi Kamoharu (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), in the hope that more people would enjoy Kyoto duck cuisine. The brand-name duck from Kyotanba, Kyogamo duck, has an appealing rich flavor with almost no odor. Because it is a specialty restaurant, customers can enjoy the freshest Kyoto duck meat at reasonable prices.
During lunch time, the restaurant offers ramen and sushi using Kyoto duck. As the chef says, "I only cook it to the extent that I can compensate for it," the flavor of the Kyoto duck is concentrated in the ingredients, which are brought out by the chef.
At night, in addition to the famous duck shabu-shabu, customers can order a la carte dishes such as duck chashu pork and baked duck tsukune, which are perfect as a side dish to drinks. Keep your eyes on Teramachi Kamoharu, a ramen restaurant and restaurant with two faces.
