Kyoto Arashiyama Banza (Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), a store specializing in furikake and ochazuke (green tea and tea pickles) made with richly flavored seasonal ingredients and fragrant matcha green tea produced in Kyoto, has opened. A total of 18 types of colorful and visually pleasing furikake, perfect as a daily accompaniment to rice, start at 400 yen per bag.
The cute packaging is Kyoto-like and makes it a perfect souvenir. The vegetable furikake in jars come in a total of six varieties, including pumpkin and rape blossoms. The vegetables are packed with flavor and nutrition, and are recommended as toppings for children's lunch boxes and onigiri (rice balls).
