Found on Nishiki Koji! You can enjoy yuba in a relaxed atmosphere under a kotatsu (a table placed over a sunken kotatsu)...
Founded in 1895. It is a conscientious restaurant known by those in the know that has carved out a history as a caterer that delivers food to kimono-related clients in the Muromachi area. It was about 25 years ago that the restaurant became the casual eatery it is today. Since then, he and his wife, Kazuyo, have been serving Japanese cuisine, sparing no effort.
The daily lunch set menus, which support the health of the neighborhood, are limited to 15 meals. The menu is roughly set: chawanmushi and yakumi gohan on Tuesdays, fried food on Thursdays, bento on Saturdays, and various other dishes on Mondays and Fridays. It is heartwarming to see the attention paid to each and every one of the regulars, such as changing the miso soup formula or adjusting the amount of rice, based on the faces of the regulars.
Daily set lunch: Bamboo, 1,700 yen. On this day, freshly fried tempura is the main dish and comes with a small bowl of tofu paste and hijiki mushrooms. Ume without sashimi is 1000 yen.
