Owner and bartender Daiki Fujimoto and chef Ken Ueda have been childhood friends since junior high school. They trained together at a hotel in their hometown of Kyoto and realized their 10-year dream of opening a restaurant together someday. Mr. Ueda, who is also a certified vegetable sommelier, serves French and Italian dishes that skillfully incorporate locally grown vegetables and Kyoto ingredients such as white miso.
The wines are also a perfect match for Fujimoto's carefully selected selections. There are more than 10 types of wines available by the glass alone, including premium wines.
