A fusion of Japanese and Western techniques with traditional Chinese cuisine [Chinese Cuisine Hoshigaoka]
Ukibashi is a Japanese restaurant in Hotel Granvia Kyoto, directly connected to Kyoto Station, the gateway to Kyoto. In a relaxed space reminiscent of a Kyoto machiya (traditional townhouse), you can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine with locally brewed sake. At lunch time, the restaurant offers a variety of kaiseki course menus as well as a casual, easy-to-please "gozen" style menu. Recommended among them is the Kaisen Chirashizushi Gozen (5,500 yen), which features about seven kinds of seasonal seafood. Not only does it look beautiful, but it is also a great way to enjoy a variety of fish at one time, allowing you to fully appreciate the flavor of each fish. In addition to the chirashizushi, a total of nine dishes from appetizers to sweet dishes make for a blissful lunchtime experience.
