After 13 years of training in Kyoto restaurants, owner Hirotsugu Kataoka opened his restaurant in a renovated home across the street from Toji Temple. He finishes many of the dishes on his menu using a griddle set up behind the counter.
Our griddle is 18 mm thick, which is thicker than most griddles. It prevents heat from escaping, so it cooks well and tastes great," says Kataoka. The hamburgers, which are popular both day and night, are cooked to a fluffy perfection, locking in the flavor of the meat.
A wide variety of meat dishes such as Wagyu beef rump steak and tataki are all grilled to perfection, bringing out the best flavor of the ingredients. Open all day, it is also recommended for a late lunch.
