The Emperor's residence and the site of the noble town [Kyoto Gyoen National Garden]
August 4, 2023 open
A four-minute walk from Marutamachi Subway Station, the restaurant's clean white curtain catches the eye as you walk west on Isigawa Street. This is the restaurant where Mr. Fukuyasu, who honed his skills in Japanese cuisine for 20 years, established his own restaurant in the summer of 2023.
The restaurant offers a set meal of tempura and sashimi for lunch and a variety of a la carte dishes in addition to a course menu for dinner.
All lunch dishes are served with appetizers, so you can enjoy a glass of sake with this as a snack from noon. The owner's favorite sake "Tasake" from Aomori and other Japanese sake and shochu offerings are sure to satisfy any sake lover.
The restaurant has counter seats made of a single piece of cedar wood and private rooms with horigotatsu (table placed over a sunken kotatsu), making it ideal for both solo diners and families. The lunch menu for children is also available, and the gentle taste of the soup stock is favored by men and women of all ages.
