At Kiyamachi's [Kyoto Cuisine Umemura], you can enjoy exquisite Kyoto Kaiseki with all five senses...
The owner, Mr. Teshima, opened a curry specialty store in 2020 because he loves eating and cooking. "I think it's neither spice curry nor home curry," says Mr. Teshima, who makes three types of curry: special keema, coconut chicken, and small shrimp and beans.
The special keema is made by grilling minced pork in chunks like meatloaf and then simmering it. It is full of inquisitiveness and playfulness, such as combining snacks and yukari furikake.
We also recommend the weekend-only beef cheek curry stewed in red wine.
