
[The restaurant "Nananoichi" at THE HOTEL HIGASHIYAMA by Kyoto TokyuHotel offers "Kyoto French" cuisine using Kyoto seasonings and ingredients. The popular lunch course includes seasonal appetizers and a choice of main dish. The appetizers are accented with Kyoto pickles, and the sauces are made with shio koji (salted malted rice) from a malted rice store near the hotel, giving the dish a Kyoto-like essence.
The dish is grilled sea bream x salted malted rice and watercress sauce from the 3,800 yen course. Marinated sea bream that has been kombu-marinated and accented with sansho (Japanese pepper) and pickled vegetables. Shio koji sauce as well as watercress sauce around it.
