A scenic spot in Yawata where Kan'ei culture is alive [Shokado Garden]

Shokado Garden is associated with Shokado Shojo, a priest of Ishimizu Hachimangu Shrine who was active in the Kan'ei Culture in the early Edo period. 20,000 square meters of the garden offers beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons, including plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, green maple trees, and autumn leaves. The Shokado Garden is also the site of the Shokado Bento lunchboxes, and visitors can enjoy their lunchboxes while viewing the garden. The Shokado Museum of Art, which is located next to the garden, exhibits works of art related to Shojo.
