Tempura Kappou Yano opened in February 2023 in an easily accessible location about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The menu is a course only, with about 10 dishes including tempura, grilled dishes, and meat dishes, starting at 3,850 yen for lunch and 8,800 yen for dinner. The owner-chef, Mr. Yano, is the master of the restaurant. He spent many years studying at various Japanese restaurants before setting up his own restaurant in Kyoto, where he has spent most of his career.

The course is carefully composed with two or three tempura dishes served, followed by grilled dishes and meat dishes in between. The main course of tempura is served freshly deep-fried one by one. The 2:8 ratio of handmade soba noodles served at the end of the course is also a popular dish and has many fans. Enjoy a special moment with freshly fried tempura and handmade soba.
