I worked hard until I was in my fifties, and I wanted to do something with my wife in the latter half of my life. When we thought about what we wanted to do in the future, nothing immediately came to mind. But I love eating and I love the city of Kyoto... and when we connected our loves, we ended up with a select store for processed food products.
