At [Yuba, miso, tofu, Kyoto cuisine Mameya Genzo] in Kiyamachi...
Established more than 80 years ago, this restaurant is housed in a 130-year-old machiya (townhouse) with atmospheric red walls. The restaurant offers a variety of attractive Kyoto cuisine, such as yuba kaiseki and seasonal omakase kaiseki, that brings tradition to the present.
Our summer recommendation is the hamo (conger eel) dinner course, which can only be enjoyed during the kawadoko season. The hamo dishes offered at the 15,000 yen nighttime hamo dinner, such as hamo pit pit, hamo soup with hamo (hamo cucumber) and hamo sushi made with thick, moist hamo meat, are well-received by regular customers. Some customers even come from far away to enjoy these dishes. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Minami-za Theater while you dine.
