Oborohachi Zuiyundo's famous confectionery Oboro

Famous sweets Oboro 180 yen and up per piece. Taking a hint from the softness of mizu-manju and kuzu-manju, Oboro is made by wrapping sweet bean paste in a strawbaked rice cake, which was made by pursuing the best formula. Three types are available: kinako (soybean flour), matcha (powdered green tea), and wasanbon (a type of Japanese sweet).

Oborohazu Zuiundo, located in Shichiku, offers large Japanese sweets.

Lined up in front of the open storefront are beautiful wagashi, each carefully crafted one by one. Upon closer inspection, you will notice that they are all somewhat large in size. The owner says, "Wagashi are delicious, but I used to think they were too small and I didn't feel like eating them. So I thought if I made them bigger, everyone would enjoy them.

Although larger in size, the delicate and refined taste of wagashi is still expressed well. Everyone will be captivated by the wagashi that are woven with such a wonderful sense of balance.
