This popular sushi restaurant is run by the owner, who has been in the business for 30 years and trained at long-established Kansai-style sushi restaurants in Kyoto and Osaka. The specialty is oshizushi and makizushi made with carefully selected ingredients such as sea bream from the Seto Inland Sea and mackerel from Chiba. The fresh ingredients are cooked in an Okudo-san and served on chewy Gifu Hatsushimo vinegared rice. There is also a souvenir store in Honke Yatsuhashi near Randen Arashiyama Station, where you can easily purchase mackerel sushi and other items.
