In 2021, with the desire to "reduce the distance between creators and users," we integrated the shop and workshop, which had previously been separate. A new wind is starting to blow from the base called [TOKINOHACeramicStudio].

``In order to pass on the tradition of Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware, so that the future of young craftsmen will be bright.'' Mr. Shimizu says, ``I continue to think about how far I can go with ceramics as my core.'' The workshop is located beyond the shop window. You can see the dedication of the young craftsmen.

At the members' gallery on the second floor, anyone who becomes a member can consult about their ideal shape and size while viewing over 500 pieces of tableware with different designs from the "TOKINOHA" series. Furthermore, it is an extraordinary space where you can experience pottery from various angles, such as a one-day casual pottery experience, a pottery course designed to train craftsmen, and a food stand with a menu that looks like an art work and where you can enjoy pottery in TOKINOHA vessels. The utensils you encounter here are sure to become good companions in your daily life.

After studying architecture at Kyoto Prefectural University, he enrolled in the advanced technology specialty for ceramics. After three years of training under potter Yuichi Inokai, he opened Tokinoha in 2011.
