At Kiyamachi's [Kyoto Cuisine Umemura], you can enjoy exquisite Kyoto Kaiseki with all five senses...
A long-established ryokan (Japanese-style inn), which was visited by many of the samurai who lived at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate, has been remodeled. After passing through the stone pavement, you will find a vaulted-ceiling restaurant overlooking the magnificent Kamo River, leading to the open-air kawadoko (riverbed).
Three kawadoko only courses featuring high-quality Japanese black beef and Kyoto ingredients are available at the famous yakiniku restaurant "Hiroshi" in Kyoto. The Kotobuki Course for 10,000 yen includes mango tongue and sirloin as the main course and salted grilled beef. The Miyako Course for 8,000 yen and the Sai Course for 6,000 yen are also available. The reasonable prices are made possible by the fact that the restaurant is directly managed by a butcher store and purchases only one head of meat.
