This café was opened by Taiwanese-born Ms. Zeng Chai-ba and her husband, Tomonori Yamaguchi, to bring the flavors of their hometown Tainan to the public. Based on her grandmother's recipes, which she has known since she was a child, the café serves Tainan cuisine characterized by sweet flavors.
The simple taste of soybean milk curdled into soybean flour is not only a sweet treat, but is also eaten for breakfast by many locals. Roulou rice, which is also served for breakfast, is made with pork belly stewed with octagonal horns and five spice powder, and served over rice to recharge the body at the beginning of the day.
