The owner, Mr. Yamamoto, who used to run an udon restaurant near Ginkakuji Temple, opened a restaurant specializing in gyoza (Chinese dumplings) because of his love for gyoza. The gyoza are small in size and easy to eat. The skin is specially ordered to be thin so as not to interfere with the bean paste. The bean paste contains glutinous pork, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, and kuwai (Chinese cabbage), which gives the gyoza a pleasant crunchy texture. The gyoza set meal, which can be ordered all day long, is reasonably priced at 700 yen and includes 16 gyoza for two people, rice, and pork miso soup. Fried tofu is also a secret favorite.
