Ginnoto, the only stew restaurant in Gion that was allowed to operate under the same name as Ginnoto in Ginza, Tokyo, was forced to leave Gion in May 2020 due to the aging of the building, and was operating on a temporary lease in Marutamachi. In August 2022, the restaurant made a long-awaited comeback in Gion.

Born in Kyoto. After honing his skills at GINNOTO in Ginza, Tokyo, he became independent in his hometown of Kyoto. A veteran of more than half a century of stew making.
