The art of mono-chu making is preserved by Takashi Funakoshi and his wife Yoshiko. Most of the farming tools and furniture you see in the store were used by Yoshiko's grandmother in Wakayama.
In addition to organic nuts, only Shiga Prefecture's Habutae mochi rice flour is used for the Saichu seeds. It is then steamed, kneaded, and baked into a simple Japanese snack.
