

Founded in 1873, this famous sukiyaki restaurant has been frequented by celebrities such as Yasunari Kawabata and Shotaro Ikenami. The fifth-generation owner of the restaurant buys a whole head of beef and matures it to perfection, which is then served at a vermilion-lacquered octagonal table. In addition to sukiyaki, the restaurant also serves oil-roasted beef and the winter-only mizore nabe (a hot pot with grated radish). Sukiyaki bento and loin steak bento are also available on the first floor.
