Established in 1952, Yamaryu is a locally owned and operated ryotei restaurant. The restaurant is equipped with everything from a counter to large and small private rooms, and can accommodate a wide range of events, from casual lunches to family celebrations and banquets with kaiseki cuisine.
In addition to seasonal ingredients, you can enjoy a variety of tastes such as Omi beef, mackerel sushi, and torafugu (blowfish) course. The restaurant is also popular for its excellent food orders, boxed lunches, and catered lunches that allow you to enjoy the taste of a ryotei restaurant at home.
The mackerel sushi, popular since the establishment, is made with local rice. It is approximately 24 cm long and costs 2,400 yen to take home. It is sometimes served as the final meal of a kaiseki dinner.
The aroma of garlic and soy sauce makes this grilled fugu appetizing. 600 yen to go. In the restaurant, as part of the torafugu course.
