Amber Appearance

Kohaku, a renovated machiya townhouse in Goshonan, is a café and bar surrounded by light and greenery.

Kohaku" (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto), a store renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse, has opened along Marutamachi Street on the south side of the Gosho (Kyoto Imperial Palace). In addition to being a café and bar, the shop sells greenery and has an art gallery and workshop space. Today's lunch, served in a bright space filled with greenery and natural light, includes either a curry set with a choice of two of three spice curries or a set meal with today's main dish, both served with an assortment of side dishes.

Amber Lunch

Lunch set includes two types of spiced curry with a side of coffee or green tea for 1,500 yen. On this day, I chose keema, wax gourd and chicken thigh curry.

In addition to alcoholic beverages and other food items that go well with alcoholic beverages, the menu is expected to be expanded to include baked goods and takeout drinks in the future. At lunch time, the restaurant plans to offer spiced curry and a weekly pho lunch. Come and experience art and greenery while casually enjoying delicious food and drinks and relaxing after a hard day's work.
