Appearance of Anaza

Enjoy the beef stew that has been a favorite since the establishment of Anaza in Karasuma Oike.

[Anaza (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) was established in Karasuma Oike as the second branch of the Ushinohone group. The restaurant offers obanzai dishes centering on Kyoto vegetables and charcoal-grilled dishes cooked over binchotan charcoal. The restaurant is housed in a historic machiya (townhouse) built in the Taisho era (1912-1926), which is more than 100 years old. On the first floor, the open and airy space with high ceilings offers kotatsu (table placed over a sunken table) and counter seating, while on the second floor, an attic-like space spreads out, where you can relax in a tatami room.

Anaza's Beef Stew

The famous bull's hone stew, which has been loved since the establishment of the restaurant, is 1,600 yen. Using only lean Wagyu beef and ribs, the stew is slow-cooked for about two days.

The tatami room on the second floor can be reserved for parties of 12 or more. The Anaza Course, which includes the famous beef stew, is popular on the banquet menu.
