Owner Natsuko Ikeguchi opened the restaurant inspired by Parisian bistros and cafes, saying, "I like French culture that values old things. The retro-design tiles on the floor, antique lamps, and terrace seating facing the courtyard give the restaurant an authentic French atmosphere.
The Japanese-style architecture, such as the shoin-style drawing room left in the wine cellar and the glass transom, is subtly utilized in places, creating a space that blends the good old things of Japan.
For his charcoal-grilled dishes and other menu items, Mr. Ikeguchi uses only ingredients that he is satisfied with, such as fresh chickens pulled in the morning and organic vegetables from One Drop, a grocer he has trusted for many years. The morning meal from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. features a classic French dish called croque-madame.
