[Gion Midnight Diner Mimibokuto] is tucked away in the back alley of Gion. In a small space with 7 seats at the counter, the owner, Mr. Saito, who has been a Chinese chef for about 20 years, shows off his skills.
Mr. Saito, who trained at famous hotels in Kyoto, still works as a chef at [Hong Kong Dim Sum Star Street] during the day. Still, he decided to open this restaurant only at night because he wanted to test his skills.
The menu includes Sichuan mapo tofu, Sichuan dandan noodles, sweet and sour pork, and fried rice, as well as a variety of small snacks. It's easy to use when you want to eat a big meal after work, or when you want to have a drink at a second restaurant, and it's also reasonably priced.
