``I started as a chef when I joined a Japanese restaurant as a craftsman of Japanese cuisine.I was assigned to Hokkaido, and one of my seniors at that time was a wine lover. I fell in love with wine because I was taken to some places," says Hirano.

``I'm still learning about wine myself, but I think it's delicious to drink, and I think it's interesting as an alcoholic beverage that the flavor changes depending on the grape variety.You can enjoy all the wines we have by the glass, so... I hope people can stop by casually,'' says Mr. Hirano, and regular customers often come by after work to ask about wine and ask, ``What's in the store today?''

Mr. Hirano selects 15 types of whites and 18 types of reds (bottles starting at 2,000 yen, glasses starting at 600 yen), mainly natural wines, which are always on standby.
