The Eieie Ryokan in Kiyamachi is a traditional Japanese-style inn...
Located overlooking the Kamo River, Kyoto Kamogawa no Oyado Tamami is a private inn that reuses historic Kyoto machiya houses built in the Meiji era. Renovated by a temple carpenter who was involved in the reconstruction of Honganji Temple and Seiryu-den Hall of Seiren-in Temple, it is a luxurious structure with two alcoves in one house.
You can enjoy a drink on your own private Kamogawadoko (raised platform on the Kamo River) while taking in the night breeze, or you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine catered indoors. The kaiseki catered by the Michelin-starred ryotei restaurant "Kaiseki Hyouju" is also popular, allowing you to experience Kyoto's nature and the seasons.
