A long-established ryotei restaurant in Nanzenji [Ryotei Yachiyo...
Nanzenji Junsho (Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) has been passing on Kyoto's culture and traditions through yudofu in the Nanzenji approach area, where the culture of yudofu has long taken root.
Designated as a registered tangible cultural property, Jyunseishoin was built as a medical school during the Edo period (1603-1868). Once a place where people gathered to study, it has now been transformed into a dining venue, surprising and inspiring people through its cuisine.
The dishes, mainly the famous yudofu (tofu) and yuba (bean curd), are vividly arranged with seasonal ingredients, and are not only delicious but also beautiful.
One of the best parts of visiting Nanzenji Junjo is enjoying a meal with the seasonal scenery of the Kaiyu-style garden.
We have a wide variety of menus for various occasions, from casual Kyoto cuisine courses to Kyoto-style kaiseki for celebratory occasions. Enjoy traditional Kyoto cuisine to your heart's content in a space that retains a strong historical flavor.
