The owner, Mr. Nakayama, opened this roasting shop in his hometown of Kizugawa City in 2010. For several years before setting up his roasting shop, he roasted coffee beans every day in his kitchen. During that time, he gradually gained attention by participating in events such as marche, and finally opened the store of his dreams.
I hope people will use it as a coffee stand," says Nakayama, "because we make coffee that can be drunk on a daily basis. I hope people will enjoy it while enjoying the peaceful scenery," says Nakayama.
Nakayama Coffee Roasting Shop used to have a strong image of deep-roasted coffee, but last year they installed a new roasting machine, and shallow-roasted coffee is now also recommended. Nakayama carefully checks each roasted bean, hand-picks only the best beans, and serves them freshly ground.
