Twelve coffee shops in Kyoto that are particular about their flavors will come together for a one-day drinking comparison event on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto.
The taste of coffee varies interestingly depending on roasting (temperature, time, roasting curve, roasting machine) and extraction (grind, amount of coffee beans, extraction equipment). Unlike most coffee drinking events, all participating stores will offer a cup of coffee brewed from the same green coffee beans, allowing coffee lovers to actually taste and feel the differences in each store's interpretation of the beans, roasting, and extraction.
Also, from February 1 (Sat) to March 9 (Sun), 2025, a town walking event will be held where visitors can enjoy coffee brewed with the same green beans at the 12 stores participating in the drinking comparison event. Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience that the difference in coffee taste is not only due to the type of bean.
