Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art, New Annex, Higashiyama Cube

From January 11 (Sat) to March 30 (Sun), 2025, "Mika Ninagawa Exhibition with EiM: Light on the Shore, Shadow on the Shore" will be held at the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art.
This is the largest exhibition of Ninagawa's work in the Kansai region, and is the result of the creative team "EiM," consisting of Mika Ninagawa and specialists in various fields. Inspired by the city of Kyoto, where one can feel the flow of time and life, Ninagawa created works on the theme of "Light on the other shore, shadow on the other shore," using photographs and videos from the real world rather than computer graphics. The exhibition consists of 10 works that cover the entire space and are expressed in "light coloring" and "shadow coloring," focusing on the light and shadows in everyday life. Entering the works, the boundaries between opposites such as light and shadow, the other shore and the other shore, the artist and the viewer, the self and the other, etc., are shaken, and through sight and feeling, one can resonate with one's own memories and emotions in a "hundred different ways".
