Josuji Temple, Mt.
From November 23 (Sat.) to December 8 (Sun.), 2024, "Autumn Special Viewing" is being held at [Jojuji Temple] (Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).
The temple was built in 810 during the Heian period (794-1185) as an imperial villa for Emperor Saga, and is a well-known spot for people in the know because of the beautiful autumn leaves that stain the stone steps of the moss-covered approach in autumn. The Chinese-style halls, arranged in a staircase and in a row, are a sight worth seeing. Enjoy the vividly colored scenery in the autumnal atmosphere of the temple grounds.
