Yuuhisai Koudoukan, Former Shimogamo Residence of the MII Family
The "Kyoto Confectionary Exhibition 2024 - The Tale of Genji" will be held from November 1 (Fri.) to 15 (Fri.), 2024, at the Yuhisai Koudoukan and the former Shimogamo villa of the MII family.
This project aims to pass on Kyoto's confectionary culture to the next generation. Selected works of Kyoto confectionaries will be exhibited from approximately 350 Kyoto confectionary designs that were publicly solicited based on the theme of The Tale of Genji. At the exhibition, visitors can enjoy Kyoto sweets made by up-and-coming craftsmen and artists from among the exhibited works with green tea. Enjoy the world of The Tale of Genji through the "stories" contained in the confectionery works.
