Anime Cinema Night" will be held for the first time on September 14 (Sat), 21 (Sat), and 22 (Sun), 2024. The event will be held in conjunction with the Kyoto International Manga/Animation Fair (KIMAF) 2024, and will be held at the Ponto-cho Dance Theater, which is also the stage for the Kamogawa Odori dance performance by geiko and maiko, and the outdoor lawn area at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, a sacred place for manga in Kyoto.
The films to be screened are "Summer Wars," which celebrates its 15th anniversary in theaters this year, and "Detective Conan: Karaben no Koiga (Love Letter)," which is set in Kyoto. The "Summer Wars" screening will be screened with English subtitles so that foreign audiences can enjoy the film as well. A kitchen car will also be set up at the Kyoto International Manga Museum.
