To commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth and 50th anniversary of the death of Okumura Atsukazu in 2024, "Okumura Atsukazu: Landscape Painter of Light" will be held from July 19 (Fri.) to September 8 (Sun.), 2024, at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto.
The exhibition will look back on Okumura Atsukazu's production from his early to late years with representative works from each period, and will also include sketches owned by the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art and other museums. There are many highlights, including newly discovered works, works rediscovered after half a century, and a group of about 80 sketches. Take this opportunity to experience the charm of beautiful Japanese painting.
