From July 1 (Mon.) to 7 (Sun.) and August 1 (Thu.) to 10 (Sat.), 2024, the "Tanabata Experience in Oku-Arashiyama" event will be held for guests of [Hoshinoya Kyoto].
This is a summer-only event where visitors can spend time on the Noryo-Yoko, a raised platform set up for the summer season, to write their thoughts on Kaji leaves and enjoy somen noodles specially prepared by the executive chef. The Noryo-Doko is a special place where the sunlight is softly blocked by Japanese maple leaves and the sound of the waterfall echoes pleasantly.
Enjoy a special moment while feeling the coolness of nature, just like the Heian aristocrats who once came to Okuarashiyama for a summer retreat.
