Until February 25, 2024 (Sun.), "The Romance of a Young Man, Mr. Impression in the Taisho Era" is being held at the Kyoto Prefectural Museum of Impressionism Domoto.
Impression Domoto (1891-1975) was a struggling painter who worked as a textile designer while going out to sketch and paint. This exhibition introduces the world of Taisho Romanticism, focusing on the images of women he painted as a young man who aspired to become a painter. Feel the women and streets of Osaka and Kyoto that greatly inspired his impressions.
