Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art
The exhibition "MUCA: ICONS of Urban Art from Banksy to Cowes" will be held at the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art until January 8, 2024 (Monday, national holiday). The art of artists who look at the world from a perspective that transcends all barriers and boundaries, including language, culture, religion, and place of origin, has been created. Their works are not bound by rules and regulations, but encourage us to look at and think about issues such as social injustice, capitalism, and racism. This exhibition spotlights 10 artists, including Banksy, Cowes, and Barry McGee, and introduces approximately 70 works, including some on view in Japan for the first time. Don't miss the fearless and original works of these pioneers, who represent the collection of one of the world's leading art museums [MUCA] and who can be called icons of urban art.
