The "Yamakuni Sakigake Festa" is held annually in conjunction with the annual festival of Yamakuni Shrine in Keihoku-cho, Ukyo-ku, and this year, the festival, now in its 28th year, will return to its pre-Corona disaster form, with a parade of the portable shrine from the Yamakuni Shrine's Kankosai Festival and a grand procession of the "Yamakuni Corps", the agricultural troops who contributed to the Meiji Restoration, with their brocade banner. In addition, the area around the approach to the shrine, which will be the venue of the festival, will be crowded with exhibits on the history, nature, and daily life of Yamakuni, food stalls using local ingredients such as hometown hot pot, and specialty products.
