From November 22 (Fri.) to December 1 (Sun.), 2024, an autumn night viewing will be held at Daigoji Temple, an old temple known for Hideyoshi Toyotomi's "Daigo no Hanami" (cherry blossom viewing).
The maple trees and dodan-tsutsuji (azalea) on the temple grounds turn bright colors, creating a special seasonal atmosphere, and nighttime viewing illuminates the temple complex and its historic buildings in the autumn.
The five-story pagoda built in the Heian period (794-1192) and the vermilion-lacquered Benten-do Hall float beautifully in the night sky.
