The Shimogamo Noryo Used Book Festival, one of the three major used book festivals in Kyoto, will be held for six days from August 11 (Fri.) to August 16 (Wed.), 2023, in the Tadasunomori forest of Shimogamo Shrine, which is registered as a World Heritage site.
About 20 antiquarian bookstores from Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, and other areas gather in one place. Under the trees of a vast forest, selected as one of the 200 best natural spots in Kyoto, about 800,000 books including paperbacks, art books, technical books, prints, paperbacks, Japanese books, and complete works line up. Even if you are not usually familiar with secondhand books, you may find one that appeals to you if you stop by. Find your favorite book while experiencing nature, history, and culture.
