The 48th "Kyoto Summer Journey" campaign will be held from July 8 (Sat.) to September 30 (Sat.), 2023, to allow visitors to enjoy sightseeing while learning about the profound charms of Kyoto, including its cultural assets, traditional culture, and industry. For a limited time only, architectural structures, Buddhist statues, gardens, and other cultural assets that are not normally open to the public will be open to the public, including a special viewing of swords at a temple associated with the Shinsengumi and the ornately decorated "Ageya" buildings of a former flower district where the Shinsengumi once lived.
