The Nomura Museum of Art is currently holding "The 40th Anniversary Masterpieces Exhibition: The Eyes of Nomura Toan" until June 11 (Sun.).
Tokushichi Nomura (known as "Tokuan") was the second-generation founder of the Nomura Securities and other financial conglomerates. While active as a businessman, he also enjoyed many hobbies, especially collecting many works of art related to the tea ceremony.
The exhibition features masterpieces from the collection selected by Tokuan's own connoisseurship. Visitors are invited to experience Tokuan's passionate focus on works of art, especially tea ceremony utensils.
