Museum "Eki" KYOTO
From November 11 (Fri.) to December 25 (Sun.), 2022, "life/LIFE," or "life" and "life" will be the theme of an exhibition by dyeing artist and artist Shamirou Yunoki at the Museum "Eki" KYOTO (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City).
Yuzuki's works include boldly dyed cloth, prints, paintings, sculptures, and picture books. He has been creating works for more than 70 years, and in recent years he has continued his energetic activities, including collaborations with the interior store IDÉE and the ACE Hotel in Kyoto.
The axis of this exhibition is "enriching and coloring our daily lives. The exhibition will feature approximately 80 original drawings of his delightful picture book works since the 1990s, humorous dolls made of paper mache and cloth, and a forest-like space woven with colorful fabrics, providing an exciting experience for children and adults alike.
